For 22nd of April, Earth day, DEM – Youth prepared a leaflet called “Happy birthday Planet Earth, but you are still unhappy”. This leaflet was distributed in every Macedonian town. In this leaflet, the environmental situation in Macedonia was explained and we also gave practical solutions to the problems. The central manifestation was a press conference held in our office in Skopje, were we presented the environmental problems in Macedonia and worldwide and made an appeal for a cleaner Macedonia. In this press conference we made a cake in the traditional way of a birthday celebration.

From 04-06.04.2003 in researches and educational center “Orbelius” in village Stalkovica, Republic of Macedonia, The Ecologists’ Movement of Macedonia – Youth (DEM – Youth) had annual meeting of the highest body of DEM – Youth, Council of coordinators of DEM – Youth. On this meeting, DEM – Youth have had elections for new coordinator of DEM – Youth and new members of Coordinate committee of DEM – Youth. New coordinator of DEM – Youth is elected Mr. Cvetan Nikolovski and for new members of Coordinate committee of DEM – Youth were elected: Mr. Kiril Efremovski, Mss. Elena Bliznakovska, Mr. Igor Gru joski and Mr. Ale ksandar Dukovski. Members of the Council of coordinators of DEM – Youth have been working on statutory changes, strategy for new members in DEM – Youth, adoption of the DEM – Youth program for 2003. Also, there had been formed working groups for celebrat ing the environmental dates and discussed the domestic and international cooperation and problems of the young ecologists in Macedonia.
