At first, green events normally are a period of starvation for me as I’m not eating meat, fish, eggs nor any milk products. I’m used to that and also it’s not very fortunate I can live with this (good for diet;-). But in Rome the Greens promoted one campaign I like very much: The food campaign.
Stickers were distributed, posters were shown which campaigned for healthy, fair trade and ecological food: the food revolution for the consumers who would finally take their chance to make a choice! Well, I missed this food revolution while looking at the plates…. Cakes, biscuits and I don’t know how many kinds of food might have suited to some conservative gourmets, but not to us Greens! The climax for me was when I finally found some fruits (supposed to be decoration I guess) among the cakes. I’m still waiting for the food revolution and dreaming of the days to come when green happenings are topped by healthy, vegetarian, ecological and sustainable food which is not only tasty for us but also for the environment! Looking forward to my vegetables at home…
