This summer, Jong Agalev was still recovering from the big blow Agalev – our mother party – got on May 18th. But by now we’re back on our feet and getting ready for the crucial regional and European elections in June 2004 (they are held on the same day). An influx of new members since the election defeat is helping us a lot: since 18 may we’ve welcomed 560 new members. Now there are around 1500 members of Jong Agalev in total, which is an all time record. With all these new members we will campaign actively for the Flemish, Brussels and European elections of 13 June, in very close cooperation with Agalev. A prolonged campaign around three ‘hot issues’ will be launched soon: employment, health and environment and urban (and rural) life… More news about this campaign is certainly to follow…
