News from Macedonia

Posted on 13 September 2003

From 19 till 25 of August the workcamp Strumica 2003 was organised in city of Strumica,Macedonia. It was about organic agriculture. We had 20 volunteers from Macedonia and abroad. They saw how organic food is produced here and all potential that Macedonia has for organic agriculture. They were working at fields in the near area of Strumica and the lectures were organised by an expert on organic agriculture Dr.Risto Vuckov. These young people also had a chance to see the beautiful waterfall of mountain Belasica and some monasteries near Strumica. The message from this camp and from the young ecologists is that we should provide people health and organic of food. This is the way to keep our planet safe.
